LEGACY OF A VISIONARY
LATE SHRI CHANDRABHAN SHARMA
When legacies are not written but forged on the anvil of time, one name endures Late Shri Chandrabhan Sharma. A courageous son of India, he evaded a British arrest warrant by taking refuge in the dense forests of Powai. After Independence, his patriotism transformed into purpose. In 1958, he donated his Powai land for the creation of IIT Bombay, personally handing the vision to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. It was more than a donation; it was a belief that nation-building is the highest form of devotion.
LATE SHRI GOPAL SHARMA JI
The legacy of patriotism evolved into the legacy of progress. Carrying forward his father's spirit, Late Shri Gopal Chandrabhan Sharma envisioned a modern India. In 1979, he founded the GHP Group, transforming Powai with Bhavani Tower as a symbol of contemporary living. His vision expanded across six major Indian cities, shaping skylines and lifestyles. Beyond homes, he brought recreation to Rajasthan by establishing R3 Angel Resort, the state's first water park (1995). The family's hospitality ventures Tulip Hotels and Quaint Suites now host over one lakh guests annually.
